Hello! My name is Iris, and I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) providing virtual psychiatric care for adults throughout Florida. I have advanced training in psychiatric diagnosis, medication management (psychopharmacology), and integrative mental wellness.
I founded The Psychiatry Clinic to create the kind of mental health practice many patients say they’ve been searching for — one where care feels personalized, collaborative, and truly supportive. Too often, individuals seeking help for anxiety, depression, ADHD, or stress leave appointments feeling rushed or unheard. My goal is to offer something different: thoughtful, patient-centered psychiatric care that takes the whole person into account.
I work with adults across Florida who are navigating challenges such as:
• Anxiety disorders and panic attacks
• Major depressive disorder
• Adult ADHD
• Mood instability and emotional dysregulation
• Chronic stress and professional burnout
• Hormone-related mood changes
• Perimenopause and menopause mental health symptoms
• Low testosterone and mood changes in men
• Weight gain related to stress, hormones, or psychiatric medications
Many people don’t realize how strongly mental health, hormones, metabolism, and weight regulation are connected. Symptoms like brain fog, fatigue, irritability, low motivation, anxiety, or difficulty losing weight can sometimes be influenced by hormonal shifts, chronic stress, sleep disruption, or medication side effects.
Because of this, my practice offers a holistic and hormone-informed approach to psychiatric care.
In addition to evidence-based psychiatric medication management, I also support patients with mental health–informed weight management. For some individuals, addressing emotional eating, stress physiology, sleep patterns, and metabolic health can play an important role in improving both mental well-being and sustainable weight loss.
My clinical approach includes evaluating:
• Mental health symptoms and diagnostic clarity
• Lifestyle factors that impact mood and focus
• Sleep quality and circadian rhythm health
• Stress and nervous system regulation
• Nutrition and metabolic health
• Hormonal factors when appropriate
For some patients, carefully monitored hormone replacement therapy (HRT) may be part of restoring emotional balance, improving energy levels, and reducing symptoms such as brain fog, mood swings, anxiety, and low libido. For others, psychiatric medication management, behavioral strategies, or lifestyle interventions may be the best path forward. The key is individualized treatment planning based on your unique needs.
Appointments are designed to be educational, collaborative, and empowering. I believe patients should understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and the reasoning behind each recommendation so they can feel confident and informed about their care.
Outside of my clinical work, I stay grounded through community involvement, cooking, reading, and enjoying live music. Maintaining balance in life is something I believe deeply in — and something I encourage in the people I work with as well.
If you're looking for virtual psychiatry in Florida who offers personalized, hormone-informed, and holistic mental health care, I would be honored to support you.
Mental health care should feel safe, compassionate, and empowering — never rushed or intimidating.
I look forward to walking alongside you on your path toward greater emotional wellness, clarity, and balance.
